Kathy was born and raised in southern New Hampshire. After graduating with a degree in fashion merchandising from Endicott College, she moved to Boston, joining one of New England's oldest retailers. The complex negotiating skills developed while on her many buying trips to NYC's garment district and beyond are foundational to her ability to represent her customers in the closing process. During this time, she met and married her husband Bill, then moved to Central Ohio.
Given her buying experience and track record, a Columbus-based, Fortune 500 retailer snapped her up quickly. The shift toward spotting trends and determining what should be "knocked-off" and manufactured made Kathy realize her strength and passion was more on the analytical side than in spotting fashion-forward trends. She excelled when allowed to analyze information, problem-solve, and make decisions.
By the time she turned 30, Kathy had progressed from the buying sector to leading a group of over 150 people as the Director of Merchandise Allocation and Distribution. Her division determined what SKUs (clothing and accessories styles, sizes, colors, etc.) were most likely to sell and why. The company recognized Kathy's stellar performance and honored her with the company's highest annual award to an associate best representing the qualities of "Integrity, Honesty, Humility, and Dedication."
After nearly two decades in retail, Kathy chose to leave her corporate life behind to raise her young family. Months later, Bill accepted a position in Houston, Texas, and they moved to The Woodlands. For eight years, Kathy dedicated herself full-time to her family and volunteer work. But as the kids grew and required less time, she wanted to go back to work full-time and sought the challenge of running her own business and putting her analytical skills to the test. Real estate was the perfect match.
A long-time resident of The Woodlands and active member of its community, Kathy has become one of the most reputable and referred realtors in the area. Kathy consistently delivers the perfect opportunity for you to buy the best home or attract qualified buyers for the property you want to sell. She negotiates the most advantageous deal for all involved and makes closing a smooth and stress-free experience. As a "Woodlands specialist," Kathy has worked with all the major relocation companies for clients buying and selling, including Cartus, Sirva, GMAC, and Cendant.
Trustworthy, diligent, resourceful, and passionate, Kathy goes above and beyond to ensure her clients are well cared for and supported. Part of the appeal of running her own business was the opportunity to build relationships with her clients, which is Kathy's favorite part of the job. She is patient and a good listener, always available whenever you need someone for advice or to assist with an important decision.
Kathy is a proud member of the National, Texas, and Houston Associations of Realtors, Keller Williams Agent Leadership Council, Keller Williams Relocation Team, The Woodlands United Methodist Church, and a past member of National Charity League and National Charity Roundtable. Keller Williams has also recognized Kathy as a top, multi-million dollar producer of The Woodlands. She is also a Certified New Home Specialist, a member of the Green Resource Council, a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, and an Accredited Buyer Representative.
Kathy is immensely proud of her family and loves spending time with them. They often take beach trips together and visit friends in Galveston or the East Coast. On the weekends, you might find Kathy rooting for the latest football game (go Patriots!) or outdoors enjoying the sun by biking or running. She has been married to her husband Bill for 39 years. Together they have a son, Will, and a daughter, Colleen.
Whenever possible, Kathy makes time to volunteer at the Habitat for Humanity; she has been involved with them for the past six years alongside several smaller local charities.
