The Harper's Landing Pool at 2 Blair Bridge Drive is closed for the rest of the 2026 season. The Township says it looks forward to reopening in 2027. For the next three months, the most complete schedule of things to do near the neighborhood comes from Lone Star College-Montgomery. Its theater, music and gallery programs for fall 2026 are posted, priced, and mostly open to the public. Nearly all of them run on weeknights. Weekends belong to the parks and to a few festivals a short drive away.
The Township's own pool page places Harper's Landing in the Village of College Park, the same area as the college's campus on College Park Drive. The two calendars split the week cleanly once you see them side by side.
The Water Season Has One Month Left
The pool is done, but the Township's spraygrounds stay open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. through October 31, 2026. That gives families one more month of splash time before the outdoor water season closes for good this year. After Halloween, the neighborhood's outdoor calendar is down to paths, playgrounds and fields, and the indoor calendar shifts to Building D and Building H on campus.
The Campus Calendar, October Through December
Lone Star College-Montgomery posts its fall 2026 concerts on the music department's page. Its 2026-2027 theater season runs on a separate page. Here are the ticketed public events, all together:
| Date | Event | Venue |
|---|---|---|
| Thu. Oct. 1, Fri. Oct. 2 at 7 p.m.; Sat. Oct. 3 at 3 and 7 p.m. | California by Trish Harnetiaux | Black Box Theatre, Building D, D204 |
| Thu. Oct. 8, 7 p.m. | Montgomery Chamber Orchestra Fall Concert | Recital Hall, Building H |
| Thu. Oct. 15, 7 p.m. | Choir Concert | Recital Hall, Building H |
| Fri. Oct. 16, 7 p.m. | Symphonic Band Concert, "Ride" | Recital Hall, Building H |

| Tue. Dec. 1, 7:30 p.m. | Jazz Ensemble Concert | Recital Hall, Building H |
| Thu. Dec. 3, 7 p.m. | Holiday Benefit Concert | Recital Hall, Building H |
The fall also includes an October Jazz Ensemble concert, "Currents," at 7:30 p.m. in the Building H Recital Hall. The college's own pages give two different dates for it. The music department lists Tuesday, October 13, and the box office lists Tuesday, October 20. Check with the box office before you plan an evening around it.
The whole schedule has only two weekend dates, both Saturdays in theater weeks. California plays Saturday, October 3 at 3 and 7 p.m., and Sense & Sensibility plays Saturday, November 14 at 3 and 7 p.m. Every other ticketed event in the table starts on a weeknight at 7 or 7:30 p.m. That pattern shapes the rest of the season.
What a Seat Costs
Standard music-concert tickets are $15 general admission, $10 for seniors and $8 for LSC, plus ticket-operation fees. The event listing for the October 8 orchestra concert shows a range of $10 to $17. General admission for California is $10. Sense & Sensibility is priced at $18 general, $16 for seniors and $10 for LSC faculty, staff and students. The theater department adds that admission is free for any student at any time with a student ID.
The Free Hours Fall Midday
The college's free programming runs on a different clock from its ticketed shows. Most of it happens during the workday, which suits retirees, remote workers and parents with a free lunch hour.
- Friday Music Recitals at 12:30 p.m. in the Building H Recital Hall on October 2, October 16, October 30, November 13 and December 4. They are free and open to the public.
- Solo Art Show at the Mary Matteson-Parrish Art Gallery, Building D, room D-101, from October 5 to October 29. The reception is October 7 at noon.
- Student Art Show in the same gallery from November 9 to December 3, with a reception on December 2 at noon.
- Free dress rehearsal of Sense & Sensibility on Wednesday, November 11 at 5:30 p.m., the evening before opening night.
The college says all gallery exhibits are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The gallery is closed on Fridays, so a Friday recital and a gallery visit can't be paired on the same day. A Thursday lunch hour in October is the easiest window to catch the Solo Art Show.
Getting In Without a Campus ID
Visitors run into the most uncertainty over parking and tickets. The college's published details cover both:
- Parking. The campus map shows a free multilevel parking garage reached from Entrance 3, and the college says no parking permit is required in its lots.
- Tickets. Performing-arts tickets are sold online or in person. The box office is in the Building D lobby and opens one hour before each performance. The phone number is 936-273-7021. The music department also links concert ticket sales through Purplepass.
- Rooms. Theater and the gallery are both in Building D. All the concerts are in the Building H Recital Hall.
Thursdays Overlap With Market Street
One scheduling conflict is worth planning around. Market Street's free Fall Concert Series runs Thursdays from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Central Park, 9595 Six Pines Drive, through October 29. The college's Thursday shows on October 1, 8 and 15 start at 7 p.m., so those three evenings mean choosing one or the other. After October 29 the Market Street series ends, and the campus has the Thursday calendar to itself through the Holiday Benefit Concert on December 3.
Weekends Go to the Parks and Nearby Festivals
With the campus quiet on most Saturdays and Sundays, weekend time goes to the College Park parks the Township maintains around the neighborhood.
- Harper's Landing Park, 2 Blair Bridge Drive, keeps its sports fields and courts, dog park, picnic and pavilion areas, and accessible paths open after the pool closes.
- Wimberly Park, 303 Blair Bridge Drive, on the same street, has a playground, picnic tables, walking trails and open green space.
- Mason Pond Park, 1 Mason Pond Place, has pond-side walking trails, benches, picnic tables and fishing.
- Misty Dawn Park, 174 W. Drifting Shadows, has playground equipment, picnic tables, walking trails and open green space.
Some of the larger fall weekend events nearby fall on Saturdays when the campus has nothing scheduled.
- Oak Ridge Fall Festival, the City of Oak Ridge North's annual event, Saturday, October 10, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Marilyn Edgar Park, 26531 S. Hillside Drive. Admission is free.
- Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas, the same Saturday at 7 a.m. at Northshore Park, with 10-mile, 5K and children's races.
- The Woodlands Wildflower Festival, Saturday, October 17, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Rob Fleming Park.
- Conroe ISD Police 12th Annual Trunk or Treat, Saturday, October 24, 5 to 8 p.m., at Woodforest Bank Stadium, 19115 David Memorial Drive in Shenandoah. Admission is free.
- Pavilion Palooza, the reimagined version of the Children's Festival at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, November 7 and 8 from noon to 5 p.m.
For a quick bite before a 7 p.m. curtain, a new Whataburger location at 8800 Six Pines Drive in Shenandoah is set to open October 5, following a $1.4 million renovation that wrapped up August 3.
A Season Laid Out Week by Week
Put together, the fall breaks down like this. October brings California in its opening week and three straight concert nights mid-month, with Thursdays shared with Market Street. Saturdays go to Marilyn Edgar Park, Rob Fleming Park and Woodforest Bank Stadium, and the spraygrounds run through the 31st. November centers on the Sense & Sensibility run, from the free rehearsal on the 11th through the two Saturday performances on the 14th. The month opens with the Faculty Benefit Concert on the 5th and closes with the Composition Showcase on the 23rd. December ends the campus season early: the Jazz Ensemble on the 1st, the Student Art Show reception on the 2nd, the Holiday Benefit Concert on the 3rd and the last Friday recital on the 4th.
Living close to the campus is a big part of what Harper's Landing offers, and buyers ask about it. When you want to know what that's worth on your street, The Brownstone Group can prepare a current home value for your Harper's Landing address, with the same local detail we put into this calendar.
